Nissha and Eimo receive 2024 IMDA awards
Nissha and Nissha Eimo Technologies, Inc, received two awards at the 2024 IMDA Awards held during the Plastic Product Decorating Summit.
Nissha Eimo Technologies, Inc. with NISSHA IMD film won the “Best Use of IMD for Consumer Products” award.
This part is unique and innovative because it is a dual user interface for both the washing machine and the dryer. Instead of using two interfaces, we were able to reduce thenumber of UIs, while precisely controlling the icon positioning tolerance on this large part.
In addition to the beauty and seamlessness of the look, this capacitive touch application has UV cured hard coat on the top surface to allow it to pass a very high standard for water, bleach and chemical testing.
Nissha’s Hidden Graphic Prototypes received Honorable Mention on “Best Use of IML / IMD for In-House Promotion or Prototype: Design Aesthetic”.
Transmitting and displaying light is not limited to just screens and icons.
By expressing various design patterns through LED transmission colors and blinking, it is possible to appeal to the user’s sensitivity.

IMD is a simple and productive process. Versatile CMF designs are done inside of the tooling without any pre / secondary process, and the whole process is managed by a roll-to-roll system. Decoration is completed, including hard coat protection, with just single shot molding.
